Update on Birdville Elementary School

Birdville Elementary School

Our work continues on Birdville Elementary School in Haltom City.

Furthermore, on Saturday, we had the roof top units set with the aid of a helicopter. It is always amazing to watch the precision of those helicopter pilots! We are also wrapping up the masonry work throughout the interior and exterior of the building.

We would like to thank Project Manager Tanner Whitson, Project Engineer Jaime Norton, and Superintendent Coy Rhine – as well as their team and subs – for their hard work. The school is looking terrific and we are on track for an August completion date.

Birdville Elementary Update

This project is defined in part by limited lay down areas and close proximity to existing structures. You can see from this aerial.

The photo illustrates the new construction that is adjacent to the existing school. Additionally, this is slated for demolition beginning in June. Once the demolition is complete, we will construct an 81,000 SF parking lot.

Our team continues to work effectively through the challenges of the site. These include weather and the normal construction issues.

We will keep you updated on the progress!

Birdville Elementary School Update

We are on schedule to top out block by the end of the month. We installed half the MEP and we are ready to begin hanging sheetrock.

There’s a slight schedule delay due to the rain and freezing temperatures, but our subs have worked extremely hard to gain those days back. We would specifically like to recognize J&E Masonry who has been a tremendous help on this project.

Now that we are looking at a good stretch of clear weather, we should gain even more days back.
