REEDER Volunteers For Fort Hood Soldiers

Just when we think opportunities to serve our troops can’t get any better, we get invited to a volunteer event like the Ben Hogan Classic at Fort Hood.

The REEDER team was honored to attend a military appreciation event this past Thursday and Friday,  April 25 and 26, 2019. According to, Fort Hood Lieutenant General Paul Funk, ” the Ben Hogan Classic at Fort Hood was the best appreciation event done on the base each year.” Given that there are over a hundred events each year at Fort Hood to honor our military, this is a very powerful statement.

Thursday, we arrived for a special session of tactical training, ending the evening with a welcoming dinner, drinks, and music where Commanding General Funk gifted Wes Reeder with a coin—a very special honor.

Wes served as an ambassador and welcomed the soldiers to the classic, while the rest of the REEDER team passed out gifts, served breakfast and volunteered during the tournament to make sure the soldiers could enjoy a stress free and beautiful day of golf. It’s the least we could do to honor these amazing men and women who so proudly serve our great nation.

It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to say “thank you” to so many of our soldiers for their service to our country. Thank you to the Ben Hogan Foundation for the invitation. We will see you next year!

Lane Reeder Awarded 40 Under 40

CEO of REEDER Construction recognized for improving Tarrant County

FORT WORTH, Texas (APRIL 25, 2019) – Lane Reeder, Chief Executive Officer for REEDER Construction, a local general contractor with a solid reputation of integrity and performance was awarded the celebrated Fort Worth Business Press’ 40 Under 40 at Cendera Center on April 24, 2019.

Beginning as field superintendent in 2006 Lane advanced to Vice President of Operations by 2010. Beginning with a ground up knowledge of construction processes Lane has helped to transform REEDER’s company systems; everything from creating a hiring matrix, to ensure we hire the “right” individuals, to hands on training for project managers and engineers. He also has a keen understanding of contracts and finance, working strategically with executive management to hit REEDER’s targets. His leadership has been an integral part of taking REEDER from revenues of about $5 million in 2006 to over $50 million in 2018.

“40 Under 40 is celebrated to recognize brilliance on the rise up, 40 honorees each year, all under the age of 40, destined for striking accomplishments in their chosen field, from the corporate sector to maverick entrepreneurialism. They are leaders today and are sure to be part of the next generation that will make Tarrant County a great place to live and work,” according to the Fort Worth Business Press.

Through his leadership, Lane has implemented cutting-edge technology that interfaces with management procedures, job-costing, scheduling and communication systems.  All of which have led to more competitive pricing, higher-quality and shorter project duration.

Lane’s creativity has led to a myriad of structural and organizational innovations within REEDER. He has worked with corporate partners to develop software platforms to better log and manage field operations. He has created and drafted industry specific management policies, project accounting functions and project delivery marketing proposals. His problem solving skills have led to new checks and balances that contribute to the “lessons learned” aspect of industry challenges. His ability to understand and embrace key market indicators and industry challenges, and transform them into viable opportunities bring added value to REEDER’s business model.

Lane is deserving of this honor because of his exemplary work ethic. Anyone who knows him immediately understands that he leads by example. He is tireless in achieving the highest standards for REEDER and understands that teamwork is more than a concept. His hands-on approach to problem solving is just one example of his commitment to his employees and executive team.

Lane’s integrity, loyalty, commitment and accountability underscore his work ethic and ability. His tireless attitude for excellence in others is exceeded only by the demands he makes on himself. His genuine concern for the “person” as opposed to the “employee” and his ability to lead by example, is obvious to everyone that works with him.

A Letter From The President

ANOTHER YEAR IN THE BOOKS

As we close out our year I can’t help but extend my thanks for being surrounded with so many quality people. I value each of you and remain humbled that you have chosen to be a part of not only the Reeder Team but my life. Each of you have raised the bar for our company and helped us to sustain the highest level of professionalism in our industry.

It started a long time ago with the values that we continue to live by: Love your neighbor as yourself. Be the best you can be at what you want to be. Leave everything you touch better than it was before. Admit your mistakes…give and forgive.

As we face a new year just around the corner I want us all to acknowledge our blessings and pay particular attention to those less fortunate than us. It is after all the season of giving. It is more than ever a time to be a blessing to others; to share our lives. I know we get lost in the day to day, but maybe we can pause just long enough to notice that there is something bigger than ourselves. Something we can be a part of, without any notoriety or fanfare. Buy someones lunch or pay for their groceries. Visit a hospital, smile at your neighbor (which is everyone) or just be patient and listen to someone who is having a bad day. Say thanks and shake the hand of a veteran or active duty soldier. Do the same with our Policeman and Firefighters. These are the real heroes. You never know the impact you can have on someone.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

My Best,

Wes Reeder
President & CEO

Update on Birdville Elementary School

Birdville Elementary School

Our work continues on Birdville Elementary School in Haltom City.

Furthermore, on Saturday, we had the roof top units set with the aid of a helicopter. It is always amazing to watch the precision of those helicopter pilots! We are also wrapping up the masonry work throughout the interior and exterior of the building.

We would like to thank Project Manager Tanner Whitson, Project Engineer Jaime Norton, and Superintendent Coy Rhine – as well as their team and subs – for their hard work. The school is looking terrific and we are on track for an August completion date.
